ALL WALK LEADERS, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING  –

* Firstly, thank you so much for agreeing to help us year. We really mean it when we say that we couldn’t do this without you, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing you all again.  Walkers regularly express high praise for both their walk leaders and our other volunteers; comments on our feedback page say it all.

* These days we don’t differentiate between leaders, back-markers and first aiders so that you’re free to assign/swap roles as it suits you. However, please ensure that your walk has at least one qualified first aider. (Below is a list of all walk leaders and their contact details.)

* Risk assessment forms will be sent out in April. It’s best to fill these in electronically a few days before the event, then email them in to us.  (We’ll remind you!)

* Many of the committee are again walk-leading this year. Please know that there is a warm welcome from us all, even if we can’t actually catch up with you in person because we’ve already left with a group, etc.

* All walks initially meet at the Village Hall (except the dog walk).  When you arrive, please report to reception (and get a cuppa, if you’d like). Similarly, on your return, please inform reception that you’re back, and try and persuade your walkers to stop for a cuppa and cake.

* The time given on the website is the scheduled departure time. Walkers will arrive before this in order to register, make a donation, etc.

* Before you leave on your walk, please collect your ‘info pack’ from reception. This will contain the number and names of your walkers (remember to check for any medical issues), your risk assessment form, an accident form, emergency numbers, and minibus arrangements (if applicable). Please return this pack to us after the walk.

* Please have your mobile phone with you (turned on).

* Please remember to take photos of your walkers in scenic locations, and email your pics to us.

* If you have any travel expenses, etc., and wish to claim for these, you can download a claim form below. Please hand it in to us on the day.

* Thanks for leading for us this year! See you there, and have a great walk!
