On this walk we will traverse the very scenic and ecologically important Dolgarrog upland plateau, a landscape rich in cuckoos, ghost woods and Celtic Rain forest. On our way we’ll explore the murky events surrounding the tragedy of 1925’s Dam collapse, but also the area’s extraordinarily rich history from prehistoric times to the present day.
Duration: All Day. Please bring a packed lunch.
Distance: 9 Miles / 15 km approximately
Grade: Strenuous
Please remember that it can be cold in the foothills of the Carneddau mountains, even in May, so make sure you’ve got warm, waterproof clothing, and good footwear.
