Refreshing Riverside Ramble
Forests and Meadows Tickets: £12
On this scenic walk – through meadows and forest paths – which follows the Betws to Capel Curig section of the Snowdonia Slate Trail, we’ll initially never be far from the river Llugwy, and its numerous falls, including the famous Swallow Falls. As we approach the end of the walk we’ll get great views over the mountains.
The walk will end at Plas y Brenin at Capel Curig, where we can have a panad or a pint while waiting for our minibus back to Trefriw.
Duration: All day. Please bring a packed lunch.
Distance: 6½ miles / 11 km
Grade: Easy / Moderate
This walk has some steep and uneven paths and tracks which may be wet and slippery underfoot. There may be longer periods of ascent, and you may find poles useful. Please dress for the weather and have suitable footwear.
Transport: Minibus out and back
Departure time: 10.30 a.m. from Trefriw Village Hall(LL27 0JH, SH781631) Please arrive 20 minutes before your walk departs.
Refreshments will be available in the Hall both before and after your walk. (See ‘our cafe’.) Please stay and socialise!
