Easy:
a shorter walk with easy terrain, usually less than 5 miles. Please be aware that this is a rural area and that all our walks take us out into the countryside where some parts of paths and tracks can be uneven, steep and at times wet and slippery underfoot. Please dress for the weather and have suitable footwear.

Refreshing Riverside Ramble ( Easy / Moderate) 6½ Miles
Moderate:
a medium length walk which may have some steep and uneven paths and tracks which may be wet and slippery underfoot. There may be longer periods of ascent, and you may find poles useful. Please dress for the weather and have suitable footwear.

Strenuous
Often a long walk (over 9 miles). It will have some steep and uneven paths and ill-defined tracks which may be wet and slippery underfoot. There may be long periods of ascent and descent, and you may find poles useful. Walkers ideally should be fit and familiar with rough terrain and long walks in the mountains. Please dress for the weather and have suitable footwear. Please ensure that you have good, warm, waterproof clothing, including hat and gloves, and suitable sturdy boots (no trainers).

Strenuous High Mountain = Often a long walk with some steep, uneven paths and ill-defined tracks with rocky and exposed sections, so a steady head for heights is needed. It may be wet and slippery underfoot. There may be long periods of ascent and descent, and you may find poles useful. Please ensure that you have good, warm, waterproof clothing, including hat and gloves, and suitable sturdy boots (no trainers).
