Trefriw’s Classic Two Lake Walk
Join us for the walk that attracts many visitors to Trefriw– the classic tour of Llyn Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd. From the centre of Trefriw, we ascend past the falls and onto the edge of Gwydyr forest. Gwdydr Forest was mentioned in written texts at least 500 years ago, and we’ll certainly witness some of its history, passing abandoned mine works and the monument to the bard, Taliesin.
The views from both lakes are stunning and there will be plenty of opportunity to talk to your guides about the history and legends of the area. After completing our loop of the two lakes we’ll head back to the Trefriw. If the seasons are kind to us, we’ll take in the vast and stunning field of bluebells as we return to the village.
Duration: 4 hrs.
Distance: 9.5 km / 6 miles
Grade: Moderate
Meet: 12.45 p.m. at Trefriw Village Hall (LL27 0JH, SH781631)
