Rocks and Rituals

The moorland edge above Rowen preserves  a remarkable complex of ancient monuments.

Standing stones and circles, cromlechi and hillforts, field systems and farms, trackways and a Roman road await discovery on this circa 5 mile-long walk. There will be some moderately steep ascents and descents.

We will travel to and from the start point in our minibus.

This promises to be fascinating, led by the “charismatic and brilliant” Ken Brassil.

Duration:  All day .   Please bring a packed lunch.

Distance:  about 5 miles / 8 km
