Natural History along the Drovers Road

We will be walking the old Drovers’ Road from Trefriw to Capel Curig, passing through ancient woodlands, past old mining sites and across wild moorland. If time and group allows we will climb the lovely little peak of Crimpiau for (hopefully) spectacular views of Northern Snowdonia.  We will be learning about how the natural and human impacts have moulded and shaped this wonderful landscape as we go.

There will be time for a cuppa at Capel Curig or Plas y Brenin before the minibus brings us back to Trefriw.

Duration:  All day 6 hrs.   Please bring a packed lunch.

Distance:  8 miles / 13 km

Grade:  Moderate

Meet:  x.xx  a.m. at Trefriw Village Hall (LL27 0JH, SH781631)

Walk Leaders:  TBC
