Trefriw’s Two Lakes
A fabulous locals’ walk from the village visiting Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant, through indigenous woodland, past abandoned mines and places of poetry. The walk makes the most of well graded ex-miners tracks. It has a long and a short version; a choice will be made on the day. Led by Mike Raine, author of the ‘Nature of Snowdonia‘.
Duration: Morning up to 3 hrs.

Two Churches and a Chapel

From the meeting point we will take a minibus to Gwydir Castle and walk back to Trefriw on the hillside above the Conwy Valley. During the walk visits will be made to Gwydir Chapel, Llanrychwyn Church and St Mary’s Church, Trefriw. There are good views of the Conwy Valley and the main Snowdonia ranges.
Duration: All day 5 – 6 hrs walking

Discovering Nature around Cors Bodgynydd
A walk through and around Cors Bodgynydd Nature Reserve in the foothills of the Carneddau. Discover the special biodiversity of the area and how it is being managed. With an option of a short climb to viewpoints looking back over the reserve with extensive views to the Glyders. A leisurely pace with some rough and short steep sections. The ground will be wet in places. Good boots recommended.

Woodland Dog Walk
Bring your dog (on a lead) and together explore the upland tracks of Coed Creigiau in the company of a Forestry Ranger. The woods rise sharply out of Trefriw so some paths are steep. Lovely views of lakes and mountains at the top.

Geology of Snowdonia
This walk will introduce you to the outline of the geology of Snowdonia, a story of violent volcanoes, colliding tectonic plates and massive grinding glaciers. No previous knowledge of geology necessary. The leader will be Paul Gannon author of the Rock Trails series of guidebooks to geology and scenery.
Duration: All day 4 – 5 hrs
