The Owl of Cwm Cowlyd – 2017

The Owl of Cwm Cowlyd

A minibus will take us to Capel Curig, from where we will walk back to Trefriw via remote Cwm Cowlyd, home of The Mabinogion‘s wise Owl of Cwm Cowlyd, and other legends and folklore.

This walk ‘among the mountains’ offers some good views of the Glyders and the Carneddau.  After walking much of the length of the valley, the return to Trefriw will be via Rhibo and Coed Creigiau.

Duration:  All day –  5 hrs walking.    Please bring a packed lunch.

Distance:  16 km / 9.5 miles

Grade :  Strenuous

Meet:  9.45 a.m. at Trefriw Village Hall (LL27 0JH, SH781631) for transport to Capel Curig to start the walk
