Trefriw Walking Festival now charges for tickets
£12 for a full day and £7 for a half day walk
For over a decade we have funded the hugely successful Trefriw Walking Festival from the very generous donations of walkers. Thank you !
Running costs have risen considerably. We cover minibus hire and fuel, venue hire for 3 days, paying for those walks led by professionals, equipment hire, funding first aid courses for all our walk leaders, website hosting and insurance.
With the considerable reduction in people carrying and using cash, we have found that overall donations have fallen, so we have made the difficult but necessary decision to charge a modest, by general walking festival standards, charge for our walks.
Why is there a Booking Fee ?
There is a booking fee of £2.00 included in the overall £12 and £7 ticket prices. This enables us to offer you partial refunds up to 21 days prior to the event, without it costing us transaction fees. Refunds will be £10 or £5 respectively.
We hope you appreciate that this decision allows us to keep the ticket prices affordable in future, enabling the long term sustainability of this volunteer-run festival.
