Earlybird Walk
Enjoy the dawn chorus on an early morning walk in and around the edges of the Gwydir Forest with some local bird watchers. Whilst walking a loop that includes woodland and riverbank, learn how to identify birds by their song. A leisurely pace with some rough and short steep sections. The ground may be wet in places. Good boots and binoculars recommended.
There’ll be a hot drink waiting for us in the village hall on our return, and we’ll be back in sufficient time for you to attend another walk, if you wish!
Duration: Early morning, 2.5 hours.
Distance: about 3 miles / 5 km
Grade: Easy/moderate, and leisurely
Meet: 6.15 a.m. (early!) in the main car park in Trefriw (LL27 0JH, SH781631) (opposite the Woollen Mill)
Leaders: Joan Prime and Alan Young
