The Hall of the Mountain King
This is a lovely leisurely walk from Trefriw over to Capel Curig, via Llyn Geirionydd. We then walk through the Gwydir forest, past Llyn Bychan, ending up at Plas y Brenin (‘The Hall of the King’), the National Outdoor Centre, where we can have a drink (hot or cold) while we wait for the minibus back, and, if the weather’s good, enjoy the views of the Snowdon Horseshoe.
Duration: All day. Please bring a packed lunch.
Distance: About 9 miles / 14 km
Grade: Moderate, but leisurely
Meet: 9:45 a.m. at Trefriw Village Hall (LL27 0JH, SH781631)
Tea and cake will be available in the Hall both before and after your walk. You are welcome to stay and socialise!
