Strenuous High Mountain :
Generally a long walk with a lot of ascent and descent;  involves some continuous mountain terrain walking on less defined paths.

Crafnant Horseshoe                   11 miles / 17.5 km

Carneddau High                           10 miles / 16 km


Strenuous :

A longer walk which will likely have steeper and rougher sections,  usually over 9 miles.

Black dogs and Broomsticks                  10 miles / 16 km

In the Footsteps of Miners                    9.5 miles  / 15 km


Strenuous /
Moderate:

A meander through the Moelwynion                           6 miles / 10 km


Moderate:

a medium length walk which may contain some shorter steeper slopes and uneven ground; this grade sits between ‘easy’ and ‘strenuous’.

Pot Luck walks (all 3 days), following Trefriw Trails or the Legends Trail, range from 1 – 9 miles in length.
