So what’s all this about legends?

As you probably know, 2017 has been designated the Year of Legends in Wales, and some of our walks this year specifically reflect this theme.

Trefriw and the Conwy Valley is an area rich in legends, fables and folklore, and to celebrate this we have produced a new book, which pulls together all there is to know!

 

The book will be launched at the Walking Festival, and available to buy.

It will be priced at £6.50 (normal price £7.50).

It has 292 pages.

Additionally, we have created a new 9-mile Legends Trail, which will be launched on the first day of the Walking Festival.  A map with directions comes in an 8-side booklet, packed with load of legend snippets.  And you could be the first people ever to walk it!

And finally, there will be a Legends Quiz running throughout the 3 days of the Walking Festival, namely a quiz of 25 legend-related questions. It’s free to enter – just pick up a question sheet!   The winner, who will be announced at the Cake Fest on the Sunday, will receive a complimentary copy of the new book.
