Gwydir Castle and the Wynns

Sunday 20th May, 2018

Gwydir Castle and the Wynns

Our walk starts with a saunter along the riverside to Llanrwst, to then visit Gwydir Chapel (annexed to Llanrwst church). We then walk on to Gwydir Castle (house and gardens) which we will be visiting (entry fee: £4.50). From there we will go up to Gwydir Uchaf chapel and maze, (perhaps also to the Tudor bowling Green), then return to the river, passing Gwydir Quay. We’ll then return to Trefriw a different way, in time for our now-legendary Cake Fest at 4 p.m.!

Distance: 6 (or 7miles) / 9.5 km
